Even in this age of decadence and decline the scholars of Ahl-e-sunnat have achieved outstanding accomplishments in each and every field. A very few could compete with their intellectual strength and abilities. However, it is an undeniable fact that adequate affection could not be paid toward the art of 'Tajweed' (recitation of the Quran) and 'Qirat' (correct pronunciation) consequently, the others not belonging to this field gradually gained distinguished position in it and reached to the extent that we began to have apprehension of being in need of them. Considering the critical situation, the great scholar Moulana Qari Mohammad Yusuf Azizi (founder of JamiaTul-Qurra and president of All India Qurra Council Jameeyat Qurrail Hind) took a decisive step twenty four years ago in order to preserve the art of 'Qirat & Tajweed' from falling into hands of the rivals. When he had taken the initiative, he had nothing in the name of source & funds but just only the blessing of his elders. With determination and zeal, honorable Maulana made his purpose materialized in form of Jamiatul Qurra, the unique of & the excelled institution of 'Tajweed & Qirat'. what this eminent school of learning has given since the beginning till today is not hidden from the learned and intellectuals. Almost every academic where 'Tajweed & Qirat' is taught owes some credit to Jamiatul Qurra. Its scholars are carrying out the noble service of teaching the above art within and outside the country. "Indeed, it is the mercy of Allah that He bestows to whom He likes".
