Registration under Soceity Act

12A

In order to claim the exemptions under section 11 and 12 of Income Tax act, 1961, it is mandatory for all NGOs to get registration under section 12A of the Act. The registration under section 12A is necessary to claim exemption under Income Tax Act. Jamiatul Qurra Educational Society has the 12A registration from 2008 and takes the advantages of exemption from Income Tax Department.

80(G)

A NGO can avail income tax exemption by getting itself registered and complying with certain other formalities, but such registration does not provide any benefit to the persons making donations. The Income Tax Act has certain provisions, which offer tax benefits to the "donors". All NGO's should avail the advantage of these provisions to attract potential donors. Section 80G is one of such sections.

If an NGO gets itself registered under section 80G then the person or the organisation making a donation to the NGO will get a deduction of 50% from his/its taxable income.

Jamiatul Qurra Educational Society is registered under 80G from 2008 and give the benefit of Tax deduction to the peoples.

FCRA(Foreign Contribution Regulation Act)

Charitable Trusts, Societies, Section 8 Company that receive foreign contribution or donation from foreign sources are required to obtain registration under Section 6(1) of Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 2010. Such a registration under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 2010 is called a FCRA registration.

Organizations seeking foreign contributions for definite cultural, social, economic, educational or religious programmes may obtain FCRA registration or receive foreign contribution through “prior permission” route. It is preferable for an FCRA applicant to be a Trust or Society or a Section 8 Company. The not-for-profit entity must have also been in existence for a minimum of three years while making the FCRA application and should not have received any foreign contribution prior to that without the Government’s approval.

Jamiatul Qurra Educational Society also have the registration under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act,2010 since 2012 which is issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

Minority Certification

Article 30(1) of the Constitution of India provides for linguistic and religious minorities a fundamental right to establish and administer educational institutions of their choice. The National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions Bill, 2004 was passed by both the Houses of Parliament and received the assent of the Hon’ble President. It came on the Statute Book as THE NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR MINORITY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS ACT, 2004 (2 of 2005).

Jamiatul Qurra Educational Society is also registered under this Act and provide the benefit to the minorities by providing education.

NGO Darpan Registration

The NGO DARPAN is maintained by NITI Aayog w.e.f. 1st January, 2015. NITI Aayog invites all Voluntary Organizations (VOs)/ Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to Sign Up on the Portal.VOs/NGOs play a major role in the development of the nation by supplementing the efforts of the Government. This portal enables VOs/NGOs to enrol centrally and thus facilitates creation of a repository of information about VOs/NGOs, Sector/State wise. The Portal facilitates VOs/NGOs to obtain a system generated Unique ID, as and when signed. The Unique ID is mandatory to apply for grants under various schemes of Ministries/Departments/Governments Bodies.
